What does the dermal fillers treatment involve?
We begin your dermal fillers treatment with a detailed consultation in our practice. We ask you about your areas of concern and ideal results, and discuss the procedure with you, answering any questions you may have. We create your personalised treatment plan, taking into account your unique features and preferences.
If you are happy to continue, we use a very fine needle to inject the dermal filler into the planned areas of your face. The process is quick and comfortable, taking around 15-30 minutes to complete.
Your results are visible immediately, so we check you are happy before you leave. No downtime is needed, and the full effects become more apparent over the next few days. We give you some aftercare advice, including when to return for top-up treatments to maintain your new look.
Where can dermal fillers be used?
We can use dermal fillers to achieve excellent results in a range of facial areas, including:
- Nasolabial folds from your nose to your mouth
- Under-eye hollows and dark circles
- Marionette lines at the corners of your mouth
- Cheeks
- Lips
- Jawline

Treatment with dermal fillers shouldn’t hurt. Most fillers include an added anaesthetic, meaning the treatment is virtually pain-free. We can also use a topical local anaesthetic to minimise your discomfort as we administer the dermal filler with ultrafine needles. After treatment, you may experience some tenderness around the affected area, but this is temporary.
