    Stephen graduated from the University of Western Australia in1989. After three years of working at Royal Perth Hospital and with the Royal Flying Doctor Service he moved back to the UK and joined Market Place Dental Practice in 1992. He is a general dental practitioner whose continued postgraduate education has enabled him to achieve proficiency in dental implantology, oral surgery, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.

    Stephen is particularly interested in dental implants and has been placing them at MPDP since 2001. He attained American Fellowship status of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 1997 and is a long-standing member of the Association of Dental Implantology. In 2010, he obtained a certificate in facial aesthetics from the Royal College of Surgeons.

    In 2024, he conducted a joint pilot study at Market Place Dental Practice on diabetes and periodontal disease, which was published in the Journal of Diabetology and Vascular Disease.

    Stephen employs a patient-focused ethos, allowing time to listen to patients’ concerns and achieve long-lasting treatment outcomes in a relaxed environment.

    Oliver graduated in 2001 from Bristol University and went on to do his vocational training through the University of Oxford. He gained experience working in a busy NHS practice in Faringdon and a private practice in Fairford, before becoming a partner at Market Place Dental Practice in 2004.

    Oliver is a general dental practitioner, providing family dental care as well as more advanced cosmetic work. He is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and has particular interest in tooth whitening and replacing broken and missing teeth with natural looking crowns. bridges and dentures.

    He is enthusiastic about new technologies and works with an intraoral scanner to provide a digital workflow and optimal-fitting lab work without the need for conventional impressions. This is particularly useful in orthodontics, scanning for ClearCorrect clear aligners, a quick and discreet way to align teeth and perfect the smile.

    Oliver places and restores dental implants in order to both replace missing teeth and to better retain dentures. He is also a ‘Preferred Provider’ for Tricare (US military).

    He appreciates that many patients are nervous about dental work and he tries to provide a sympathetic environment for care, including music and a ceiling-mounted TV for the patients’ enjoyment. He is married with two teenage children and, when time allows, enjoys playing golf and squash as well as gardening.

    Dr Hardman graduated with an Honours Degree in the field of Environmental Science in 1980 and later went on to gain a Bachelor in Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Wales National School of Medicine, Cardiff in 1985.

    Following an appointment to the Oral Surgery Department at the University Hospital he took up a commission in the Royal Navy. He served as a dental surgeon at home and abroad for 7 years and left the service having attained the rank of Surgeon Lieutenant Commander.

    Dr Hardman started practice life in Edinburgh in an NHS general practice and a practice limited to Orthodontics.

    Dr Hardman moved to Gloucestershire with his wife and young children in 1995 and since then has appreciated the opportunities that private practice allows for the provision of excellent and high quality patient dental care. He is a keen participant in Gloucester Independent Dentists’ continuing professional development program.

    Dr Hardman’s wide experience has led to a special interest in all aspects of general practice, and a dedication to the provision of high quality care for all the family in a friendly and relaxed environment.

    Greg was born in Gloucestershire. He attended Guy’s Dental School in London, and qualified in 2001. He then returned to Gloucestershire and has practiced in the county since then.

    Greg has a wide range of experience in general dentistry, with a specific interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry and facial aesthetics.

    Outside of dentistry, Greg has a keen interest in rugby and played for Cirencester RFC until 1996. He is a regular at Gloucester Rugby Club matches and holds a season ticket.

    Caroline started her dental career at the Dublin Dental Hospital & then moved to Glasgow, where she gained her Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1993 at the Glasgow Dental Hospital and School.

    Moving to Gloucestershire on qualification, she then completed her extended duties in 2004 before taking a career break.

    Caroline joined Market Place Dental Practice in 2006 and since then has built up a strong rapport with her patients. She also takes part in regular continual professional development.

    With over a decade of experience in dentistry, Gabriel is a dedicated dental hygienist and therapist, passionate about helping his patients achieve and maintain excellent oral health, particularly when it comes to periodontal health (gum care). Gabriel graduated from the University of Essex with a Foundation Degree in Oral Health Science in 2011, followed by a BSc in Oral Health Sciences in 2015.

    His approach to patient care is centred on education, prevention and personalised support. He takes great pride in making patients feel at ease while delivering thorough, evidence-based treatment. Whether managing gum disease, promoting better oral hygiene habits, or supporting patients through more complex treatment plans, he is committed to helping each individual feel confident in their oral health.

    Outside of the clinic, Gabriel balances his professional life with raising his young family of two girls and a boy. He is a keen traveller and a passionate ultra-marathon runner, and is always looking for the next adventure or endurance challenge.
